Korean Cinderella

I was very interest to see other stories that were based on the Cinderlla theme. I found one story that origionated in Korea. The main character in this book was named Pear Blossom. She has an evil step mother who tells her that she can go to the town festival if she weeds the rice field. Upon seeing the field, she thinks that the task is impossible. Suddenly an ox majicly appears and eats all teh weeds. She is so excited to be going to the festival. On the way she is frightened by the royal party. She loses her sandal while fleeing from them. At the festival, the prince finds her and makes her his bride.
